Life can present heavy energies that we have to face head on each day. There are internal and external wars, challenges, and obstacles. The brain starts to wire itself to constantly have the need to recover from mental pressures, stress, grief, despair, and struggle. It's important to remember that we are never stuck and we always have the ability to change. The brain is able to be retrained. Thankfulness, appreciation, and gratitude serve as medicine for preprogramming brain waves. When this muscle is strong and tone, then a bigger picture opens to endless possibilities. Freedom is born out of these virtues, and peace is restored when the mind and heart focus energy there. We can heal by practicing gratitude daily with moments of reflection, journaling, or meditations, but also in observing someone else in deep moments of appreciation. It is healing to simply be around the energies of gratitude, and it can inspire one to celebrate and practice it themselves. Just like a smile, kind act, or generous offering can inspire others to follow suite, gratefulness and thankfulness are inspiring acts that are contagious.
Being thankful shifts our perspective, puts us in a higher frequency, and can have the power to change our outlook on life. Instead of being in lack, we can feel abundant and therefore manifest more of it. Whatever we are not grateful for leaves our lives. In saying that, the same is true for the opposite. The more we are grateful for what we do have, the more things we create to make us feel grateful. Like attracts like, and our inner frequency helps us create the same vibration on the outside. Why not cherish the gifts that life has blessed us with?
The Rose is a wonderful symbol of Love. It is the highest frequency flower on the planet, yet it also has thorns that can hurt us. If we always focused on the thorns, then we would never understand the power of the flower. By looking at the thorn as the protective force that allows the Rose to smell so powerfully healing, we are able to be grateful for them. Our ability to find things to be grateful for instantly pulls us out of misery and pain. On Thanksgiving with family and friends, take a moment of gratitude for the wonderful gifts of each guest that attends. Look for things to be thankful for, and see the good in yourself and in your ability to bring out the best in everyone around you. A heart filled with appreciation becomes a rhythm of joy that ripples outward and moves through the fabric of life. It influences our health, abundance, happiness, and Love in a positive way. Why not practice this virtue of virtues and allow it to be the medicine that heals? 'Tis the season to be thankful, appreciative, and grateful. Let's spread the Love - we are so blessed to have it to share!
