Balsam, Gurjun is a Wild-Harvested resin essence from Indonesia that thrives in tropical, evergreen, and semi-evergreen forests that tend to have high rainfall. These amazing trees act as an upper canopy that helps to regulate forest humidity, and a habitat for birds, insects, orchids, and mammals. Balsam, Gurjun is a mast flowering plant, which means that they bloom after several years of little or no flowering in order to overwhelm seed predators and help the tree to survive and grow into many trees in the future. This amazing tree depends on underground fungus in order to help bring in more nutrients, help with drought resistance, and support the seeds in rooting in soil that is nutrient-poor.
Balsam, Gurjun is good for protecting the body against fungal infections, septic conditions, and urinary-genital inflammation. She is wonderful for the lungs, respiratory congestion, and broncho-pulminary inflammation. For the skin, Balsam Gurjun addresses skin disorders, wounds, burns, cuts, scratches, eczema, and psoriasis. She is wonderful for muscle pain, join pain, and body inflammation.
When we are needing to ground, relax, and calm down, this beautiful plant helps us release stress, let go of mental fatigue, and neutralize the mind when feeling scattered or overwhelmed. She is a natural protector and is helpful for getting into meditation and connecting deeply with the heart and to nature.
Anoint 5-10 drops over the heart, the chest, over areas of pain or inflammation, or onto the skin where there are disharmonies. Repeat 2-3 times a day for 120 days to see how this plant medicine works on the body and decide if more treatments are needed. Blessings on your healing journey!
