Essence of the Week: Ylang Ylang

Ylang Ylang essential oil comes from the flowers of the Cananga Tree in Madagascar. She is an evergreen tree with large, yellow, sweet-smelling flowers. In Tagalog, Ylang Ylang means "wilderness", and can also translate to mean "flower of flowers".


Ylang Ylang is wonderful for the heart, circulation, palpitations, arteries, and veins. She helps digestion, balances the hormones, and supports healthy skin and hair. Ylang Ylang tightens skin tissue that have lost firmness like breast tissue, saggy skin, and facial wrinkles. This amazing flower helps to calm and sooth, and is a great ally for the nervous system and in helping with insomnia.


Ylang Ylang is anti-depressive, that helps with anger, fear, stress, and negativity. She warms the being and can help with shock and frigidity. When one is ready to accept Love, claim one's worthiness of Love, and embrace the Love that is available, then Ylang Ylang will be there to open the door to a deeper Love than ever imagined.
