Essence Protocol of the Week: The Skeletal System & Scoliosis...

It is the last week of August, and we are focusing on the Skeletal System. This system of the body is made up of the internal framework of bones, cartilage, ligaments, and tendons. Without this structure, we wouldn't be able to move and perform the way we do.

This week, we are focusing on healing Scoliosis. Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine, and it comes from a virus that gets into the tissues. It occurs mostly in adolescents during their growth spurt, just before puberty hits. Severe Scoliosis can be painful and even disabling, but most cases are mild. Sometimes deformities develop, but oftentimes, no treatment is necessary. A brace can help, but severe cases require back surgery. Energetically, Scoliosis has to do with the inability to flow, trust, or move past old ideas. Extreme fear results in this dis-ease. Our favorite essences to address Scoliosis are Oregano, Peppermint, and Thyme.

Oregano is a perennial shrub used in cooking and revered as a powerful healing medicine. It is known as a natural healer for Scoliosis, and the pain that is associated with it. Oregano has the strength to help the body straighten up again. She is filled with anti-viral, anti-biotic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant constituents - among many other vital qualities. Oregano helps to address our shadows, self-destructive tendencies, darkness, and emotional trauma. She is the queen of harmony between Light and dark. Due to her hot temperature, it is important to anoint the bottoms of the feet, or layer "neat" as the last essence on top of the cooler ones, for best results.

Peppermint is a perennial mint plant that has been an anointing oil for over 3,000 years. She is also anti-viral and anti-septic, and helps with inflammation and pain. Peppermint can be anointed directly onto the spine to help clear the microbes and other foreign matter that contribute to this disturbance, while helping to relieve pain and inflammation. Energetically, Peppermint helps to dispel feelings of inferiority, resentment, anger, and frustration. She is a mood uplifter, and helps to promote harmony.

Moroccan Thyme is an aromatic, evergreen shrub that likes to creep on the floor of the garden. She has been used by the Druids for lifting and dispelling all negativity. Thyme is related to the fairy kingdom and other hidden realms that support courage, optimism, and Love for all. For Scoliosis, Moroccan Thyme can be anointed directly onto the spine, killing and warding off harmful microbes. She is highly anti-viral, anti-inflammation, great for the joints, and has anti-biotic qualities as well. Moroccan Thyme helps to uplift, supports problem resolution, and helps to keep it Light so that we can be in the flow of life. She supports to removal of energetic blocks so we stop repeating destructive cycles, while restoring confidence, so that we always feel good enough to follow our dreams.

It is best to use essences for one month for every year you have had the symptoms that are being treated. In general, for the average adult weight and height, five to ten drops "neat" on the skin is enough to start anointing each essence 2-3 times a day. Always do a test patch on the inner arm to make sure that the essences are not too powerful to anoint "neat" on your skin. If they bring up a healing response, then use the bottoms of the feet to anoint, and meditate on what is coming up and out emotionally for healing. Anoint onto the skin by layering the cooler essences first and ending with the Oregano as the last and hottest layer in order to protect the skin from the heat. Anoint over the spine so that the plant essences can directly affect the area of concern. These plants work well together, and can help the healing process greatly. All essences are safe to ingest in small amounts (3-5 drops in an ounce of water is a good start). Use your intuition to guide the way, and remember that less is always more in most cases, and the body knows what's best - so always listen to it.
