Joshua's Corner: One Step At A Time, Breathe...

One step at a time...


When life is digging up the road ahead, it is time to take a break and meditate on the next step. Take this time to rest the mind and listen to the heart. One of the most amazing practices to do is one of breath awareness. Practicing "3-point breath", breathing all through the nose, in this sequence: inhale-hold-exhale. Start with an of inhale/5 sec. hold/ 5 sec/ exhale 5 sec. Extend the time evenly as your lungs strengthen. The goal is  to reach 20 seconds in each segment creating a one breath per minute scenario. Do this for 3-11min.


It has been said by the yogic masters that when a human can breath 1 breath per minute, that person "controls" their life. Meaning that the mind of duality has been unified via the breath to our heart center. When this happens, the mind can rest and the heart takes over in all aspects of life. Allow yourself time daily to connect with your breath, the earth, the waters and the sky with loving intention. Let go of anything not serving your highest purpose, and smile!
