Joshua's Corner: Pause From Time to Time...

We are beings who have a mind and body that is active and needs to be maintained and loved. For me I see and feel the mental portion of ourselves is equally as important as our physical and emotional "bodies". I have found that the physical body operates best when one develops an exercise protocol (this changes throughout life) that maintains flexibility with strength. Similarly our emotional body also needs exercise and gentle conditioning so that we practice unattached, yet stable emotions.


I believe that one key to developing these three all at once, is to "pause" three times a day, 5-20 minutes each round, take your shoes off and carefully and consciously walk or stand barefoot on the sand/grass/dirt/garden/rocks/etc... 

When one can do this every day, I believe, life becomes more clear and more connected. The quiet time you give yourself is priceless!
