Poem of the Week: Between Truth & Avoidance...

Living in these times of great revealing,

Dark truths exposed that some are concealing.

Triggering trauma responses and feelings,

Processing life while choosing healing.

For some, these truths bring up deep fears,

Reliving the trauma and shedding some tears.

Finding it easier to get on with their lives,

Avoiding the painful narrative that drives.

Others choose to confront and fight back,

When this corruption is on the attack.

Protesting, vocalizing, and taking a stand,

Having conversations that help them expand.

Society awakens in its own timing,

Not forcing enlightenment while climbing.

No one can wake up another being,

When eyes are closed and not open to seeing.

The Universe initiates us on the path,

It's not our job to unleash any wrath.

Working to embody self-Love and inner joy,

Is how to treat the darkness we wish to destroy.
