In the Northern Hemisphere, June 21st marks the Summer Solstice season. It is the season of Light, healing, and rejuvenation. There is an abundance of energy and Light, as this marks the longest day of the year. The Sun reaches its highest peak, and it illuminates an awakening in all of us. This is the season that the Light triumphs over the darkness. It is a time of increased spiritual energy, deep insights, and personal growth and clarity. As one of the four most powerful times of the year, the Summer Solstice also marks a time of change. It may be the peak of Light, but it is also the return of darkness. The Light has been building up to this point, and right after it peaks, then it must come back down. Life is impermanent and ever-changing. We only need to learn from these cycles and accept change for what it is.
People all around the world gather to celebrate this time of year. We can celebrate by reflecting upon the year to date and what we are grateful for, what we would like to release, and what we want to manifest in this second half of the year. We can also meditate on the Sun and send healing energy to the body, mind, heart, and soul. This is a wonderful time to celebrate the cycles of life, the fullness of the Light, and the fact that change is the only constant in life.
