Weekly Insights: A Big Week For Big Change...

A Leo New Moon, Total Solar Eclipse, the Perseid Meteor Shower, and a Six-Planet alignment all take place this week. Let's investigate what these events mean for us and how we can capitalize on their healing benefits.

The Leo New Moon helps to shine a spotlight on long-term changes, helping to reveal the areas that need our attention and redirecting our lives to align with who we are and what is most important to us. Leo reflects our leadership skills, confidence, creativity, and the courage to take center stage. This New Moon arrives on a Wednesday, further emphasizing the importance to say what we mean and mean what we say. Leo holds the space for us to speak from the heart and converse in a way that helps us stand up for our beliefs and stop hiding behind other people's opinions. We have to ask ourselves if we value what we feel is most important to us, or are we seeking approval or attention by being vocal about what we think other people want to hear? When something is important enough, or we believe strongly enough to own and embody the topic at hand, then we can fully stand behind it.

The Total Solar Eclipse happens when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, while completely covering the Sun when it reaches the point of totality. The Sun is the symbol of the Light, and the Moon is the symbol of the darkness. The Total Solar Eclipse causes the Light to be hidden behind the darkness. We can take this powerful experience and use it to help us address the inner darkness that gives the illusion that we have lost our Light. Energy cannot be lost, but it can be transformed from one thing into another. Therefore, our worries, fears, heart pain, grief, past identities, attachments, expectations, limited beliefs, etc. can all be transmuted back to Light with courage, authenticity, and self-Love.

Whatever comes up during this Total Solar Eclipse is something to pay attention to. These emotional patterns, memories, inner impressions, and desires help us to understand ourselves better and approach the original parts of ourselves that are ready to come alive and get activated once again. Leo addresses the identities we hold for ourselves and others, and our desire to create the life that we have always wanted. Whether we have outgrown something, wish to change something, or are seeking deep inner transformation, this is a wonderful time to bridge our spiritual selves with our physical realities. By listening to the signs and paying attention via observation, our eclipse lessons will reveal themselves to us.

The Perseid Meteor Shower is a wonderful sight in the night sky of the Light appearing within the darkness. It occurs when the Earth passes through a stream of tiny particles that came from a comet to form meteors in the atmosphere. Because it appears to come from the constellation Perseus, it was named Perseid. It is said to be able to produce up to 100 meteors per hour, depending on location, weather, pollution, and what is actually visible during the event. This meteor shower shows up randomly amidst the infinite sky above, offering us all a little bit of uncertainty, some flashes of insight, and/or moments of clarity. The dark sky background allows this Light to be visible for us to see. This is a great analogy for the challenges and disappointments of life. We might just find ourselves becoming the very vessel of Light that transmutes darkness for ourselves and others. This meteor shower offers us the opportunity to contemplate the energies we are ready to let go of, the energies we are ready to bring in, and the parts of the self that are ready to come to the surface and see the Light. It is a chance to go inward and truly listen to what emerges to teach us and help us grow.

Finally, there is a six-planet alignment that will appear in an arc. Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune will all look to be in a straight row, even though they will all be at different places in their personal orbits. From our perspective here on Earth, these planets are in alignment, symbolizing the relationship between these different energies and the different ways that they work together to help us integrate the different areas of our consciousness. Mercury stimulates the mind and helps us learn, integrate, and communicate effectively. Mars give us the energy, courage, and power needed to move forward in strength. Jupiter brings us personal expansion, good luck, wisdom, fairness, and a spiritual connection that brings hope. Saturn slows us down to get organized, structured, and disciplined enough to master our challenges and help us become more mature and grounded. Uranus brings up the topics of freedom, liberation, and revolutionary disruption from the norm in order to help us move out of older, more outdated patterns, beliefs, and behaviors, and merge with new ideas and original creations. Neptune enhances our dreams and visions, plugging us directly into the heavens and helping us merge with a higher will. Together, these energies help to bring balance and harmony in order to manifest a more integrated and whole being. When the mind, the will, inner wisdom, structure, freedom of the heart, and the spirit all come together, there is no stopping us. This powerful alignment is a reminder to strengthen all aspects of the self in order to embody the expressions of these mighty forces together as one. It is also a reminder of the diverse world we live in, and how powerful we are when we all come together for the common good.

This week brings the power of many different forces together to help us create positive change. It is time to release the areas and the identities that no longer align to who we have become, while finding the courage needed to allow our inner Light to radiate brilliantly. What do our lives look like when everything is aligned? This week we are invited to observe, listen, and take in the messages we receive mentally, emotionally, and cosmically.
