Weekly Insights: Finding Our Light In Uncertain Times...
Changes are advancing rapidly in our personal lives and in our world. With so many instabilities, there is uncertainty in our economic, social, environmental, and technical systems. The pace of life can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. Days, weeks, months, and years fly by more quickly than we can process. Ready or not, time continues to move forward. The only things we can truly control are what we invite into our lives and what we let go of. By choosing to become more conscious, compassionate, and connected to the world and each other, we have a better chance of remembering and re-awakening what really matters. We find meaning in helping others, practicing kindness, forgiving, taking care of the body-mind-spirit, and living our destinies. In a reality where we cannot always control what happens, we always have the opportunity to choose how we respond to life, what we create from our realities, and how we let our lives effect us. We actually have much more "control" over our realities than we give ourselves credit for. It is vital that we remain flexible and adaptable. Most of the things we cannot control come from our outer worlds to challenge us. They really don't matter. What matters is that we keep the candle lit inside of us. The heart Light is the ultimate guide - in both this lifetime and beyond.
Each of us has a brilliant Light that shines. We shine the brightest when our darkness is dim. The Light within us grows when we choose Love over fear, kindness over division, and we seek the truth over deception or false representation. Our Light grows with forgiveness, compassion, and the courage to face ourselves honestly and begin again. It is choosing life and never giving up on the dream, vision, and goal.
Every morning that we wake up and face a new day as the best versions of ourselves, we reignite the Light within. That Light shines on the path ahead, helping us to see the next best step forward in an ever-changing landscape. No one has a perfect life. Everyone experiences challenges and pain. Being happy and staying Light is not in denying the lesson, the pain, the grief, the fears, or the worries. It is staying open to understanding that the struggles carry messages and lessons that help us grow and evolve. They don't define who we are or what our reality will be. Inside of the heart is an eternal flame and source of wisdom, strength, and power of peace and unconditional Love. By keeping the heart open and taking life one bite at a time, we can experience our realities for what they are and still remain open, still choose courage, and still allow ourselves to take another step forward.
Moving forward with consciousness is the key in avoiding the need to repeat lessons over and over again. The world will keep cycling karmic teachings, but those energies of the outer world never have to penetrate the world within us. Our conscious awareness helps us decide where we focus our energy, what we allow ourselves to consume, and what beliefs, relationships, and habits we subscribe to. What we decide to focus on, we become. Therefore, what we choose to give our attention to matters. The time, the energy, and the focus all shape our living experiences. Our choices matter. Our interactions with one another matter. The way we treat and talk to ourselves matters. The nourishment we feed our bodies matters. The health of our planet matters. Our happiness matters. Our dreams matter. When we choose these empowering attitudes, actions, and behaviors, we are choosing to flow with life on a high frequency. In the flow, we become flexible like a tree in the wind. We can bend, stretch, and move around, but we are always connected to our roots. Our roots are our values, beliefs, practices, and interconnections with one another. Life will always be changing, but we can flow with it flexibly without losing sight of our destiny. We don't have to have all of the answers or know where our journeys are taking us. We only need to choose, moment by moment, to shine our Light brightly.
