A Capricorn New Moon has the influence of the planet Saturn, and Saturn helps us create structure, stability, and organization in our lives. As boring as this may sound, stability helps to create the foundation for all of the creative endeavors in our lives to grow. When the inner world becomes stable, life begins to settle around that stability and transform our dreams into reality. So how do we get to the place of inner stability?
Do you ever catch yourself saying, "Once things settle, I will feel at peace", or "As soon as this passes, I can let go"? This mindset relies on certain circumstances to happen in order for our emotional harmony to manifest. These are subconscious patterns that keep us fluctuating from instability to stability. It is always changing, depending on what is going on in our lives. Instead of riding these waves of highs and lows, we create inner stability by being present with whatever is coming to the surface. We can allow ourselves to feel what we are feeling, accepting the emotions for what they are instead of trying to control them. Inner stability arrives through calm, conscious observation instead of reactive response. One calm action at a time, we gradually build our stability over time. Eventually, our nervous system is trained to trust, stay calm, remain centered, and take one situation at a time with one breath at a time. Instead of trying to escape the things that make us uncomfortable in life, we can bear witness to our lives, our state of being, and the situation we are in, and stop reacting and being consumed by our problems. True stability manifests when we shift with life's changes, practice patience with ourselves, and show up for ourselves no matter what is happening in our lives.
Life will continue to shift in and out of stability, and what is most important is that it doesn't determine the state of our emotional, mental, and physical state. As within, so is without. Once we have inner stability, outer stability falls into place. It does not come from a perfect life void of challenging situations, but instead from a steadiness, stillness, and unwavering faith in oneself and the process of life itself. This one-pointedness creates a platform for magical creations to grow upon. Life is always responding to us by offering a reflection of what is living inside. When we are calm, centered, and open, then that is what we receive back from our lives. Once we realize how important our part is in this game of life, then we can choose how we want to respond to it in order to create the desired response. Being present and nonreactive helps create the space to throw out an anchor and settle into the moment. Being present with ourselves in the moment is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.
