Weekly Insights: Truth, History, & Cycles...

"Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." ~ Winston Churchill

Humanity has a very short memory span. As a people, we have worked so hard to manifest things, and sacrificed our lives, our land, and our rights in order for many generations of people after us to benefit. We can look at this reality unfold in our health and wellness on an individual scale, in our families on a personal scale, in our communities on a local scale, and in our countries on a national scale. We have had generations of consciousness evolving on planet Earth for millions of years. There have been both amazing creations and horrific atrocities done by man, all of which we have been able to learn from in order to understand ourselves and our beliefs better. Since life happens in cycles, there are themes that continue to come up for all of us, and our ability to learn from the past and evolve into the future is what creates our strong sense of adaptability. The more adaptable we can be as a species, the longer we last. If we know that we are allergic to a food, plant, or thing in our homes, making the choice not to use it again is in our best favor. Repeating destructive behaviors can eventually kill us, and that is what we are trying to avoid the very most. Why do we then decide to repeat destructive cycles?

In order to stop repeating past disasters, we have to know they existed, and we need to understand what exactly happened. Putting our heads in the sand and avoiding the Truth is the last thing we want to do in order to preserve the future. Education, wisdom, knowledge, and information is Power. The more we understand, the more we can be empowered to make better choices for ourselves, for others, and for the planet itself. We also open our minds to see how and why we are where we are today. Historical events provide a window to see into the various structures and norms that we are accustomed to in our realities. This helps us develop empathy for different beliefs, different cultures, and different perspectives. Instead of placing blame on someone or something, we can begin to understand why things are happening the way they are in the first place. When we study ourselves, our families, our traditions, and our values, we start to develop a more intimate relationship with the richness of the fabric of our ancestry. It also connects us much deeper to one another and our overall evolution as a humankind. Life, in general, begins to have much more meaning and depth.

We think that history dies in the past, but that is a great misunderstanding. Just like the cycle of a plant, after one dies, there are seeds from the old plant that eventually begin to grow a brand new plant. These cycles continue on and on unless we consciously choose to root out the old one and plant something new its place. It takes direct power of the will to make these kind of changes, and not a passive blind eye in order to avoid inconvenience. The study of history creates greater problem solvers in individuals, greater intelligence in our societies, and much more sound decision-making in the world. Since everything and everyone is connected, it also offers a link to our interconnectedness from the beginning of time. When we see one another as a part of a chain of life instead of as separates with no connection, then we care for and treat one another better.

Traditionally, religion and politics have played the greatest roles in destroying our historical context. Why? Well, it is much easier to create your own dialogue based on what you want people to believe. The more you can get others to see things your way, the more control you have over them. These institutions in our world today have become quite cultic because of this manipulation of Truth. History shows high religious leaders, autocrats, and dictators using this as a means to the their ends. Some of the greatest wisdom that was ever collected in human history was burnt down in the fires of Alexandria because it helped to empower so many people instead of keeping them dependent on a leader for guidance. In religion, the fear of God or Satan has driven horrific human atrocities. In politics, the fear of the "other side", or the unknown has been the fuel of the fires of destruction of people, animals, plants and the planet as a whole. When we don't have information and/or are lacking knowledge, then we move into the fear of the unknown. Fear is the biggest block to creating deeper connections, and it is the greatest obstruction for people who would be pursuing new and more expansive opportunities otherwise. Living in fear makes us anxious, stressed out, mentally cloudy, irrational, and depressed, to name just a few things. It is the way that people manipulate others and it takes us away from our true nature of Love. As the saying goes, "fear is the opposite of Love". Fear is used in controlling relationships in order to carry out an agenda. In this age of AI, misinformation, and deceit, it is vitally important to dig deeper to find Truth. Truth is now a luxury, and our history is being slowly deleted from the physical world. You have to take more steps and invest more time and energy in order to find out the Truth. However, no matter what steps need to be taken, it is more important than ever to learn as much as possible. Gain the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in order to be an extension of the Truth that is the Light of the world.

Our word is gold, and when we speak and share Truth, we illuminate everything with Divine energy. When we become part of the misinformation that spreads like a wildfire, sharing lies that never took place in order to manipulate circumstances in our favor, then we become aligned with that which causes harm. We have to ask ourselves what purpose we have for sharing information. If we mean to cause harm, then Truth, history, and facts have no relevance to our lives. If we mean to be a Light in this dark world, then we will invest in the Truth and take the time, energy, and steps needed to learn and to do the right thing no matter what. Together, we are what create the reality we see in front of us. Learn from the past, get the facts straight, and share Truths. Let's contribute to a world filled with Peace, Kindness, Harmony, and the almighty power of Love. That is the world that the majority of living beings desire to be a part of, and it is up to each of us to manifest it in our own lives first - and then to expand it outwardly from there.
