Tagetes, or White Marigold, is a tall, upright flower that is native to southern South America. Her name "Marigold" comes from a Nahuatl word "cemphasúchil", which translates to "twenty flowers" or "twenty petals". The name Tagetes comes from a Latin word from an Etruscan prophet or seer who "emerged from the Earth while it was being plowed". In Mexico during the annual "Day of the Dead" celebration, Tagets is the flower that acts as a bridge between the Earth and the afterlife. It adorns the temples and is offered in rituals as a symbol of good luck.
Tagetes is anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, and anti-microbial. She helps the lungs, respiratory system, congestions, coughs, and bronchi. Tagetes addresses pain, spasms, muscle aches, and tension. She is good for the skin, cuts, burns, and bruises, and is frequently used as an insect repellent. Energetically, Tagetes is a powerful bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. She is grounding, calming, and centering in the energies of optimism, passion, and strength of will. She helps to instill a type of resilience that inspires hope, joy, and boldness. Anoint Tagetes to bring blessings and prosperity, and help to bring a deeper connection to the cosmos and the Divine Source of all Creation.
Pour 5-10 drops over the chest for the lungs, directly onto areas of muscle and body pain, and over the skin where there are imbalances. Use consistently 2-3 times a day for 120 days to see results.
