Mudra of the Month: Balancing Heaven & Earth...

Updated: Apr 28

Mudra means "To Please", and is a way to invoke the unseen forces for health and happiness. You can literally manifest your destiny with the palm of your hands. Mudras are a type of sign language to the angelic realm. Every day, hire the angels of Light and fire the angels of darkness with Mudra Therapy.

The month of April is the 4th month of the year, and the number 4 is connected to the planetary vibration of Uranus. Uranus can be disruptive when it comes to the "comfort zone" in life. It can invoke sudden change and revolutionary shifts in both the physical experience as well as inner transformation. The key ingredient to the most powerful times of transformation is staying in one's center. Balance on all levels is important, and staying in the "eye of the storm" is how to avoid getting dragged into a state of fear and anxiety.

This Balancing of Heaven & Earth Mudra offers the gift of resetting one's energy in order to restore harmony. It is the representation of planting seeds, new beginnings, and letting go of the past in order to start fresh. The left hand, the receptive side of the body, is face up to receive from the cosmos. The right hand, the projective side of the body, is face down to give back to the Earth. By finding our balance between our spiritual essence and our physical needs, we can walk the line of harmony in our lives. The left palm facing up receives the Light from the Heavens to recharge and heal, while the right palm facing down gives back to the Earth what has been so generously shared by the Light. At the same time, the right palm facing down is receiving powerful Earth energy for strength and vitality, while the left palm facing up is sending gratitude and Love to the higher world. This is a hand posture that promotes harmony and balance. In order to live between the seen and unseen worlds, one must be able to find a harmonious balance of giving and receiving Love. This mudra promotes harmony and balance, new beginnings, and the dance between the higher and lower worlds.

How To Perform This Mudra:

1. Straighten the spine in a comfortable posture sitting, standing, or laying down.

2. Rub your hands together vigorously.

3. Gently bend the elbows and bring the left palm face up and right palm face down.

4. Relax your shoulders and elongate the spine, allowing the chest to rise and the chin to gently relax in and up. Close the eyes and focus at the brow (3rd eye) point.

5. Smile, breathe long deep breaths, chant Triple Mantra, or practice Three Part Breath (See Below).

3-Part Breath (Optional):

Inhale slowly into the belly, rib cage, and upper chest for a count of 20. Hold the breath and squeeze the rectum for a count of 20. Exhale from the chest, rib cage, and belly, drawing the navel in toward the spine for a count of 20. Repeat the breath for a total of 3 minutes. SMILE!
