Poem of the Week: Choose To Connect...

Do we always have to agree?

Different opinions help us to see.

Do we need to be the same?

Being alike is just the programmed game.

Do we have to believe in the same things?

Learning something new helps us grow wings.

Do we have to look like each other?

Our uniqueness sets us apart from another.

Connections don’t have to be avoided,

Differences don’t need to be exploited.

We can choose to put our egos aside,

And open our hearts and minds up wide.

Choosing to connect through conversation,

Learning about differences through education.

Always choosing Love over fear,

Clearing the shadows to persevere.

Together we can connect in deeper ways,

It’s a simple choice to make each day.
