Poem of the Week: Getting Into "The Ring" of Life...

I had the choice to step in or watch,

Just wasn't one for the sidelines.

I jumped in and things got botched,

And then I prayed for a lifeline.

The ring of life is not for the weak,

It's filled with challenges and trials.

If strength and endurance is what I seek,

This path can guide me for miles.

I got punched down again and again,

But I got up stronger the next day.

So many lessons learned since then,

On what to grow and what to throw away.

The hardest thing to see is the truth,

When you have trusted with your heart.

But there is no hiding when it comes to the proof,

That this was what it was from the start.

The life arena is an option to play,

And it takes guts and will power to choose.

I wouldn't have it any other way,

Even though I won't leave without a bruise.
