Poem of the Week: Love Is A Choice...

To choose Love is to practice being kind,

Starting with self-Love and feeling aligned.

It is honesty, trust, integrity and truth,

Always willing to learn something new,

Listening and understanding from the heart,

Participating in life and doing one's part.

Love doesn't control how others behave,

It's vulnerable, it sacrifices, and it's brave.

When choosing Love, it may not be returned,

Opening the heart can cause it to be burned.

The heart can be exposed or misunderstood,

But Love will always do what is righteous and good.

Love builds courage and strength to not react,

Staying calm and centered when feeling attacked.

Love takes a pause and practices restraint,

Learning from each lesson and every complaint.

It's a choice to stick to higher values and morals,

Not engaging in darkness or provoking quarrels.

When we choose to Love we are choosing to grow,

Working through blocks and continuing to flow.

There may be sacrifices to make in Love's name,

But that's the price for playing the Love game.

When choosing Love, Love chooses us back,

Completing the circle while staying on track.

Love is the Alpha, the Omega, and the path,

It's all three in one, and that's good math.
