Poem of the Week: Riding with the Light...

The world may feel harsh and cruel,

But we still have the choice to be true.

The darkness can be the fuel,

That charges the causes we pursue.

There are pressures to conform to the group,

And to wear the jerseys of our teams.

But at what cost will we stoop,

To support a corrupt regime?

It's in our character and who we are,

That the truth shines ever so clearly.

We don't have to look too far,

To identify who acts sincerely.

For some, this journey is written in stone,

Integrity and harmony guides the way.

For others, life is a race to the throne,

Where anyone's trust can be betrayed.

So ride with the Light or with the dark,

But make the choice to be authentic.

There is a higher purpose to embark,

That can be altruistic or egocentric.

We may come alone to this big life game,

But we need one another to sustain it.

Owning our choices and what we became,

It's a reflection of the soul, and that's legit.
