Poem of the Week: Doing The "Right" Thing...
What is right for me and you?
A question that is long past due.
Is it right when its a convenient thing,
Or if its ordered from a king?
What if it's a difficult choice,
Going against the loudest voice?
What if the right thing is wrong,
Compromising integrity just to belong?
There's always a cost to doing what's right,
Light and dark always have to fight.
But everything boils down to us,
These moral decisions are a must.
The right thing is just that,
Being a blessing and not a rat.
When integrity's the most important thing,
Then doing what's right will never sting.
Feeling great in the heart and soul,
Leaving us feeling happy and whole.
Being honest and helping others,
Is a way for us all to discover,
How close we are as sisters and brothers.
