Poem of the Week: The Big, Bold World...

Waking up every morning of each day,

Moving into the heart to connect and pray.

Wishing peace and all the suffering to end,

Asking for protection so that harm will suspend.

There are many events outside of control,

Observing the problems in the world as a whole.

What to do is choose Love at each turn,

Taking care of life with great concern.

Focusing on the joy while healing the pain,

Finding ways to be grateful and not complain.

This world is a paradox unfolding to see,

Opposing sides choosing to disagree.

An honest reflection of who we've become,

Repeating patterns has made us numb.

A sacred planet worth our efforts and Love,

The symbol of diversity birthed from above.

All species together on this planet so vast,

With humans consuming and exploiting it fast.

To make positive changes we all must give,

Contributing to peace; allowing others to live.

Even in duality, we each have great power,

Overcoming pain and climbing every tower.

Understanding what matters is what's unseen,

The Love in the heart arrives to intervene.

The goal is to become better each day,

Following Love, Truth and the joy of Play.
