We are microscopes examining every play,
Self-absorbed in our own lives for another day.
Just a grain of sand in a great big ocean,
Blowing up reality with intense emotion.
By only focusing on what's seen and heard,
The bigger picture remains unclear and blurred.
It's easy to stick our heads in the sand,
While pain and suffering exists all over the land.
Separate and apart there is nothing to fear,
United as one, our connection is loudly clear.
We live with and for one another,
Plants, animals, sisters, and brothers.
What separates us are mental creations,
Projecting hatred upon many generations.
We allow our problems to take form in others,
Instead of investing valuable time to discover.
We do our lives a great injustice,
When we avoid the opportunities to discuss this.
Because conversations help to bridge the gap,
From the limitations that have become a trap.
So we can enter back into a collaboration,
Manifesting virtues across the nation.
Placing value on health, safety, and joy,
Instead of ways to kill life and destroy.
Every breath with intention to create peace,
Is manifesting goodness to greatly increase.
Ending greed, racism, misogyny, and hate,
Together we can make the world really great.
