Life can suddenly throw curveballs at times,
Not seeing that big mountain we need to climb.
We are on a path and the Universe steps in,
Redefining a loss from a win.
Ten years can pass and we look back to see,
We haven't manifested who we wanted to be.
There may be a greater vision and goal,
But reality reminds us who's in control.
The lesson and the teaching of life itself,
Has meaning through Love, joy, and health.
We rise and we fall to remember to flow,
Not being attached, but open to grow.
Observing the Light and the darkness at play,
Watching the good and the corruption each day.
Making the choice to join or walk away,
Thinking independently or learning how to obey.
Ultimately we become who were were destined to be,
Opening our eyes or staying blind to see.
This world has many paths for us to choose,
With believes, perceptions, and different views.
Each of us navigating the road on our own,
Making the best with what we have known.
We become the product of the choices we make,
Some may be good, and others a mistake.
But we get to choose who we finally become,
Every cause provides effects we succumb.
To find out where life is headed right now,
We can step into the heart, take a seat, and bow.
The truth's inside and reality follows suit,
Much like a seed that gives birth to the root.
To make a change and shift direction,
We can always choose a course correction.
Choosing Love, kindness, compassion and grace,
And holding gratitude in the heart with a smile on our face.
