Weekly Insights: Brothers and Sisters United...

It's an age-old story of human power, ego, and destruction. It has been written about in our history books, ancient mythology, and as both fiction and non-fiction stories over decades and spanning all generations. There is a single person, group of people, or entire civilizations that have used their ambitions, their religious interpretations, and/or need for "control" over others to gain power. These people have come from all types of backgrounds, beliefs, and political views over the years - but the one thing they all have in common is that they are human. Due to their wealth, wisdom, innovations, or magnetism, they are given power beyond reasonable need, and they capitalize on that power. Over-confidence and false, self-created realities become like a drug that inflates the darkest aspects of those who are drunk in popularity. Eventually, those who have helped them rise in their immoral missions start to feel the negative effects of that destructive ego. Reality soon hits everyone hard, and the boomerang ultimately returns to deliver the karmic reward for the destruction that has manifested. Then the darkness falls upon them, and the tower of the ego collapses for all to see. As observers, we talk about these kind of stories for years to come. So why do we continue to loop around these self-created cycles of pain, and how do we get ourselves out of them?

Lessons continue to cycle around us until we finally learn. When we are able to truly "get it", then the lesson has no energy to continue. Historically, every generation has an egotistical narcissist that believes they can take over the world and control all beings. As long as humans are living in a dualistic world and have the physiology that we are currently born with, then we will have to accept that this lesson will peak it's ugly head every so often. We are not doomed, because if we were, then we wouldn't have the freedoms and liberties that we have today after going through this lesson so many different times in the past. These types of reckless individuals are part of what creates balance with Light and dark in a Yin/Yang reality like ours. Looking at past civilizations and communities all over the globe, we have learned a lot about the power of the people. People who gather together in the name of Love and goodness have made profound shifts when they have been needed in our human history. The power is and has always been with the people, even though the illusion is that we are powerless. Humanity has taught us some deep lessons throughout history, but what have we really learned?

When there is a reality happening that has to be called out, we have to have the courage to stand up and speak out. As people in a society, our power is in our ability to come together and stand up for justice. Unfortunately, we are so tribal as humans that we have separated ourselves from one another and closed ourselves off to listening to those who don't believe, look, or represent who we are individually. It is crucial that we don't buy into the division, but instead, engage one another in productive conversations. The most important thing is to listen to one another and form concrete understandings based on our personal experiences instead of second hand gossip. Locally, we are stronger when we work together to build trust and togetherness. As a community, we have a responsibility to take care of one another, hold space for each other to live in peace, and promote the power of Love. Even when we are experiencing so many books being banned, our cultural history being deleted, and facts or deep truths being destroyed, we have the responsibility to do what our ancestors did and pass our stories on, from mouth to ear, to future generations. History repeats itself when we choose to ignore it. Everything we are currently experiencing on the Earth has existed before. This planet is billions of years old and there have been many different civilizations that have destroyed themselves or have been destroyed by nature before we all arrived. We can learn so much from the past in order to help us make better choices for our future. Each of us has gifts and skills to add to the greater good of the communities we live in, and these times call for us all to contribute the best of who we are. Culture is a gift of resistance to injustice, and it can be a protector on the local levels. We only need to see the Light in one another to know that we are all one. We are the mirror images of each other, and what we fear in others is what we fear in ourselves. When we are accountable for our perceptions, beliefs, and actions, we have an opportunity to seek balance and harmony through truth, justice, and righteous action. There is no room for hate in a reality constructed by the power of Love. No matter what our political, religious, or racial statuses may be, none of us are alone. We are weaved together like a quilt of life experiences, and we are a humankind that has the ability to do anything when we are united.

Our prayers in these times are that we meet in the middle to find out how we can work together with our commonalities instead of alienating ourselves from one another and focusing on our differences. It is time to turn the temperature down on the planet, speak to one another respectively, and rise to the occasion by showing up in the world as kind, decent, and compassionate beings. We are brothers and sisters in spirit that live in a human family on the Earth. We have incarnated into a dualistic reality in order to learn how to navigate through it. Each of us comes from the Light and returns to the Light, and that makes us one cosmic family. May we find common ground and build up from there together in harmony with our best intentions. The times we are in require us to be resilient, proactive, and grounded. This moment pleads for us to open our eyes and ears to receive Truth and see through deception. Our one job is to learn how to give and receive Love on Earth, and this is a wonderful time to practice this wisdom. The right thing is always harder to do than the wrong thing, and we all have the will to determine what that means for us personally.

The bottom line is that we only need to Let Love Rule in order to restore peace and harmony. Are you ready to surrender to the power of Love?
