Everyone wants to believe that they are "good". We are taught in society, the movies, and in television shows that there is evil and good in the world, and we have to protect ourselves and others from this darkness, while helping to guide the self and others toward the Light. We create narratives based on our personal history and our beliefs around politics, religion, different cultures, our families, and our communities. We see the "others" as dangerous, destructive, ignorant, brainwashed, selfish, and even evil. In the mind, people that believe differently are viewed as hopeless, unchangeable, and beyond redemption. We stop talking to each other, we judge each other, and the division between us grows deeper and deeper. This internal narrator continues to write stories around our identities until we stop feeding our fears. The truth behind all of this is that we share so many more beliefs and values together than we allow ourselves to accept. This is a topic I speak of consistently, because it feels like we are at a turning point in our society and reality. Our shadows have been empowered to cast darkness onto areas that were once filled with Light. It is our job to seek the Truth, whether or not it agrees with our "side", our stance on any one topic, or our loyalty to any group. It is hard to accept being "wrong" about people, a topic of interest, or a concept that triggers a lot of drama and reaction. But ultimately, the Truth really does set us all free.
As long as there are "winners vs losers", everyone loses. People are not all created equal, but we fit together like a complex puzzle that takes time to work out. This is not to say that there aren't people in this world that intend to cause harm, but a life of compassion does not negate actions of harm onto others. Everyone has had times when they acted out of ego and caused pain or conflict. Accountability for our actions, words, and behaviors is part of manifesting more clarity, wisdom, and understanding. Seeing things under the auspice of The Sun archetype that rules this 19th week of the year allows us to see the areas of manipulation, deceit, corruption, lies, and misbehavior in the world and in our own realities. We have a great opportunity to walk away from tribal loyalty, and toward authentic and compassionate interactions and connections. We only have to choose to follow the Truth instead of each other.
In the auspice of the dark New Moon in Taurus, we are invited to initiate a new beginning. We plant our seeds deep beneath the Earth's surface and we quietly cultivate big dreams, ambitions, and creations. We believe in the unseen growth and abundance that our seeds are producing. This hope and faith in goodness is what anchors the Light into matter, the Truth into reality, and the Love beyond our deepest fears. Taurus brings New Moon grounding, patience, self-Love, and connection to nature, sustainability, and our own authenticity. It addresses our inner fears, life-long conditioning, programmed division, old resentment, issues around scarcity, and our learned reactions to the outrage and judgement we have for one another.
Taurus aligns with the timing of nature - slow and steady wins the race. Transformation comes over periods of time when we learn how to accept the Truth's we don't anticipate or once were unable to accept, when we listen to people with different beliefs, and when we stay open to all possible outcomes - even when people around us tell us not to. The more balanced we are, the easier it is to align to a harmonious reality. We invite in the energies that align with us, that help us build our communities, that make us stronger as individuals, and that don't box us into one group's mentality. This can apply to anyone and everyone in our lives. More important than opposing people with different beliefs is our ability to engage in conversations that expose the Truth and create deeper understanding. This is the mentality that builds beliefs on factual information and helps us to be independent thinkers, cooperative players, connectors instead of separators, and abundantly nourishing communities that have enough and do not have to fear living in scarcity and lack.
This week, the Sun helps us expose the shadows so we can reveal the Truth. Instead of being reactive, we have the opportunity to apply wisdom to every situation in order to become more constructive, conscious, and honest with how we choose to respond to our lives. Without having to pretend the darkness doesn't exist, we are invited to bring awareness to our challenges so we can face them with detachment. This is our moment as a society to confront and release corruption, inequality, extremism, chaos, and distrust. What was once hidden must be seen. Once we see the Truth, we cannot go back to unknowing, and therefore, we are responsible for creating a more balanced and healthy reality than what existed before. Through conscious reality restructuring, we can each become a stabilizing source of Light, instead of a source of fearful chaos carrying the weight of the burdens of our society. As the Sun meets the Taurus New Moon, it is time to manifest this transformation and cultivate a more grounded expression of the Light in order to illuminate the darkness and heal the bridges that unite us as One.
