Have you ever noticed that we talk about the way we perceive our realities as our "mind-set". This word says it all. Our thoughts about life are much like concrete. We mold them into shape when we pour them out of ourselves because they are still fluid, mutable, flexible, and open to change. Then they become "set in stone" and feel almost impossible to shift. Once they are set, our thoughts become very hard to change because they become hardened, rigid, and resistant. As we learn new information, we slowly create cracks in the hardened ideas where new mental structures replace the old ones, and can take over as our new foundation. As humans, we change clothes, jobs/careers, relationships, and feelings without the amount of resistance that the mind puts up. So what does it take to shift the mind from our limitations? Looking at the world today, there are groups of people that strongly believe in realities that other groups of people strongly reject. There is a little space in the middle that we can all meet when we aren't so stubborn, but even that can be a challenge in today's dualistic world. So how do we stay flexible and open to shifting the way we think based on new information and realizations, and let go of our stubbornness for good?
To change, we have to practice humility. When the ego is bulldozing its way through life, disregarding the truth and acting from a place of dominance instead of co-existence, then it's almost impossible to change the mind. Humility opens greater fault lines in the concrete mind by creating cracks. Conversations can put pressure on unyielding beliefs. Sometimes our connections with each other, our life stories, and our personal experiences put tension on the mental structures we have built. As our inner stories get debunked, we have no other choice but to change the way we think. This sparks the frequency of curiosity. Asking questions and being open enough to find out new information initiates movement and shakes up the foundation of what we have been sold our entire lives. Patience, stillness, and reflective time can be helpful in softening the solid areas of the mind. By creating this space, we are able to break open the older ways of thinking and recreate a new mold to be cast. Mental mobility is vital for personal and global evolution. By understanding that the concrete mind can be broken down and rebuilt, we keep ourselves open to reshaping our realities to align with truths as they become revealed. Just like we have to choose to make improvements to any structure that has been laid in stone, we also have to choose to be open to changing the concrete mind.
It takes energy to press through the rigid walls of solid beliefs. If we really want to find middle ground and stay open to learning new information, then we have to be willing to break through our old or limiting perceptions. This is how we create positive change in our amazing world. We all have so much to share and connect with in this lifetime when we don't buy into the propaganda that seeks to separate us for private and nefarious reasons. The mind is the most powerful thing we have to create the realities we desire. The cracks we manifest by receiving new information can lead to complete transformation. Instead of thinking that there is no room for new beliefs and perceptions, we can soften ourselves and make space for greater understandings and a more unity consciousness. It is our job to learn how to Love on the deepest levels of our consciousness. Are we willing to be flexible enough to stay open for positive change? That is a question that each of us has to answer for ourselves. When the answer is yes, then anything can be possible. This is the reality that creates a world filled with magic and wonder, and becomes the space where all beings can learn, grow, and thrive in blessings together. Soften, open, and receive the gifts that are ready to unfold at this time. Now is the time!
