Weekly Insights: Standing Tall in the Storm...

Whether we tune into the greater world or stay sheltered in the cocoon of our own realities, at some point, we are faced with chaos and conflict. It is one of the natural cycles in life that serves as a catalyst to positive change. This week, lightening strikes twice with the double Uranus vibration of 44, and it acts like an earthquake and disruptor that exposes the truth just under the surface of what is visible. Limiting thoughts, old belief systems, and societal conditioning have worked together to keep parts of us dormant. However, Uranus is the Great Awakener that is influencing our highest evolution in this Age. If Uranus (4) is the storm, then double the storm (44) results in a karmic alignment (8) of our inner and outer worlds. The teacher of the heart, our inner master, is the bridge between our conscious and superconscious minds. It is the intermediary energy that helps us balance the wild and free, more creative side with the stable and consistent, more structured aspects of who we are. By finding our center, we can face whatever challenges arise with more patience, compassion, and presence.

When reality becomes disrupted, what areas come up to reveal truth? Uranus arrives to offer unconditional Love as the answer to any perceived problem. Love asks us to surrender, let go of attachments, and allow the lessons to teach us. Instead of holding on to the old ways of being, it signals the time to have Faith in what is possible and allow everything to unfold before judging it. Sometimes the disruption is not personal, but instead it relates to the outer world and our families, friends, workplaces, neighborhoods, communities, countries, or the world at large. How do we remain stable on the inside when the outside is in chaos? The areas of structure in our lives are the containers that hold us together during the most volatile times in our lives. We have our breath, meditation practice, physical movement, and the blessings of nature to help ground us back to inner peace when we have fallen off of center. Disruption is the gift and reminder to find our center once again.

Uranus is the Light, and Saturn represents the Earth and the land that reconnects us to our true nature. The way we can plug ourselves back in to be recharged when the storms of challenging times show up in our lives is in breathing with the trees, walking on the Earth, and connecting with the natural world. With the permission of the tree spirits, we can take time to connect our spine to a tree trunk, slow down the breath, and receive the gift of healing from a sentient being of Light. Walking barefoot onto the soil, listening to the birds chirp, feeling the breeze on the skin, and smelling the trees and flowers can all be medicinal. As we disconnect from the electrical currents of our phones, computers, and televisions, we can connect to the web of natural electro-magnetic forces flowing between the roots of the trees, the network of mushrooms, and the living soil and nutrients that work together to nourish and replenish us from our feet to the crown.

Aside from nature, we have our own personal creative expression. Music, artwork, writing, serving community, using the voice to speak up for the voiceless, etc. are all wonderful ways to rise above whatever challenge may be experienced in this time of transformation. Strength comes from within, and allowing our highest expressions to unfold in times of dismay can be extremely healing and rebuilding when things have broken down. Uranus offers a genius approach to looking at our lives to find creative and imaginative ways to build ourselves back up when we have been knocked down. Whatever the storm may be, the most important thing is to stand tall, follow the heart, and create the reality desired instead of waiting for someone to build it for us. Be the living bridge, rise above the muck, don't allow the outer world to contaminate the inner world, and channel the creative forces in productive ways that feed the heart and soul. Each of us is a builder in this construction project of life. Every challenge becomes a stone in building bridges of Love, while breaking down walls of judgement. By finding this delicate balance within ourselves in these times of challenge, we are able to be the embodiment of a larger symbol of peace, compassion, and cohesiveness. What does this year's 44 energy ask of us? Whatever Uranus has broken up, Saturn will rebuild in a stronger and more elevated form. Instead of escaping the challenge, it is time to face it head on. With Love, we can grow and elevate into newer and higher dimensions.
