Weekly Insights: The Inner Narrator...

As we explore the idea of inner strength in this Universal Mercury Period, we have to begin at the top of the pyramid to uncover the seed of all of our blessings and all of our troubles. The head contains the mind that holds our thoughts, our perceptions, and our inner beliefs. It is the beginning of our process of internalizing the realities we are experiencing. As soon as the mind perceives reality, the story begins. We process our experiences by interpreting them with the language the mind has learned to speak. This language has been built by our astrology, upbringing, history, and every experience and interaction that we have ever had. Each incident offers a gift of self-reflection to learn and grow from. We get to build our inner voice from there, and it serves as an interpreter throughout the journey. The question is, what kind of voice have we created for ourselves?

We are in charge of our own energetic vehicle, and that is all we really need to focus on "controlling", should we wish to live healthy, happy, and abundant lives. To be happy, we have to make sure that our inner dialogue is in alignment with the reality we wish to create. An inner world that explores, questions, and reflects in order to gain deeper insight or clarity will always receive life as a teacher that offers knowledge and wisdom. It creates a conscious way to integrate our challenges and our blessings with truth, and an impersonal analysis of what is really being "taught" by the Universe. If we don't process with consciousness, then we have to ask ourselves, how is our inner voice helping or preventing self-Love, self-acceptance, and honest self-reflection?

Mental endurance is the key to personal strength. We can be physically strong, spiritually strong, and even emotionally strong, but if the mind is weak, then we will not be able to hold steady when the pressures of life build up and grow. A strong mind learns how to adapt to adversity, to make good decisions when things feel difficult, and to keep going when all we want to do is quit. Mental strength is what determines our response to major challenges, and whether or not we react out of fear or act with confidence. We can pursue our long-term goals and visions, and endure the stormy weather that occurs during hardship and pain, as long as the mind is strong. Without this mental strength, we will find it difficult to stay on track and not give up. Life will always test us with set backs and disappointments, but what sets us apart from the crowd is how we choose to respond to it all. When something very uncomfortable manifests in our realities, do we try and fight it, do we run away, do we try and numb ourselves enough not to feel it, or do we accept it and work with it? Is failure an acceptable response, or is growth the only real option? If we cannot trust ourselves to show up for our own behalf in the darkest moments of our lives, then how can we create a solid foundation to stand upon no matter what the circumstances may be? Self-trust begins with our commitment to reveal who we are inside, understand what we stand for, and accept our true worth. When we choose to build an inner oasis of renewable strength, then we can grow and build ourselves up in any condition and with any person. The ability to stretch, bend, twist, and expand in our lives is the gift of freedom. There is no situation too big for us to handle when we are free. True freedom is revealed by our capacity to control and regulate our mind, thoughts, perceptions, and beliefs that we carry with us each and every day. So how can we cultivate this authentic strength inside?

The breath and our speech are both vital in reprogramming the mind to align to our highest and greatest good. The breath enters through the nostrils and mouth, and directly affects the higher world and head of the body. Slowing down the breath, deepening the breath, and creating rhythm with the breath can support a balanced mind and higher thoughts. Sound vibrates the head and throat, resonating a deeper frequency and offering a vibration for the ears to hear and the mind to use as a tool to reprogram negativity into positivity. It is a Divine instrument that we can use to tune us up and tune us in to the higher worlds. Together, the way we breathe and the words we choose to use can make a profound impact on how the mind receives, processes, and responds to our realities. Choose wisely, put the self first, make mindful choices, and take in life as a blessed gift and school to learn and grow. We are here to live our greatest and highest destinies, and we can truly manifest our gifts with the support of a balanced, harmonized, and neutral mind.
