The twenty-fourth week of the year is ruled by the planet Venus and the archetype of "The Lovers". Venus is the planet of Love, romance, luxury, play, the arts, and harmony. It comes in to remind us to play, stay Light, and find breaks in the day to let go of stress and practice self-Love. Nature is ruled by the planet Venus, which means that spending time in the natural world can help us heal and align to the energies that Venus offers. The water element is in full effect with the Venusian influence, so we tend to feel everything much more during this time. Practice compassion, connect with empathy, and learn how to give and receive Love with joy. When we find the beauty in our lives and in others, we move from our separate corners of reality to deeper connections of unity consciousness. We are invited to cooperate with others, reconcile the past, and merge with the middle road, while avoiding extremes. Our personal possessions and desire for pleasure-seeking experiences can come up with the influence of Venus; however, it is most important that we follow the heart toward what we value the most, while avoiding our attachments to the physical plane.
"The Lovers" archetype addresses our personal choices in regards to what makes us feel whole, aligned, and connected to Love, Wisdom, and Truth. It is the energy of uniting our conscious mind, subconscious mind, and the superconsciousness of the multi-verse together as one. The uniting of energies helps us address what truly joins us together with our own soul frequency, with others, and with the cosmos. There is no separation between ourselves, other living beings, and the universe. Everything is connected, and "The Lovers" help to marry all of the different parts of who we are. There is an element of choice that comes with this archetype. We have to choose what we really want by following our personal Truth, trusting the heart, and deciding on what is most important and valuable to us. Our choices ultimately decide what career, relationships, family, and personal experiences we manifest in order to create more happiness, health, and success in our lives. "The Lovers" can bring both conflict and peace, depending on whether or not we choose to accept what nurtures us and leave behind what drains us. The most important part of this equation is in owning the thoughts, feelings, words, actions, and behaviors we indulge in daily. When all of these forces are aligned with each other, then we feel in union with ourselves. It becomes more difficult to lose ourselves in relationships with others or create dependency or codependency problems when we are in alignment with who we really are on all levels. We think that a lover is someone who is the "right person" for us, but it is more about being true to ourselves and to this lifetime that we are blessed to live. Our choices and the way we embody who we are can offer us the greatest human experience possible.
This week, we have a beautiful opportunity to contemplate what we truly value and what brings our lives meaning. Stepping back to see the bigger picture, we can see how our choices have reflected our values or lack of values, and we can now choose a pathway toward our most authentic selves. On the journeys toward our highest and greatest good, we can discover the Truth - and the Truth will always set us free.
